All of our programming is completely free to youth in the community. If you are interested in connecting a child to one of our programs, please sign them up on the  registration page!

In all our programming, we encourage:

Mentorship Program

The goal of our mentorship program is to help young people build character and life skills through exposure to colleges and universities, the arts, and the world of work. Mentors will be part of a team that takes responsibility for a child. Mentors spend time being adult friends to the youth mentees. Mentors invest their time in listening, building trust, establishing a relationship, supporting and guiding the mentees.

• Mentees: The program will help young people to develop important life skills, learn about the world of work, plan for the future, improve school attitudes and performance and build self-confidence.
• Mentors: In addition to providing mentors with the satisfaction of giving back to their community, workplace mentoring can help build company morale, improve employee productivity and contribute to overall job satisfaction.

​After School Program

At our after school program, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, relax, engage in homework, and enjoy a healthy snack. The philosophy behind our after school program is to provide a balance between structure and flexibility, and to foster self-esteem, confidence, creativity, humor, compassion, empathy, responsibility and initiative. Our after school program runs at our facility every day from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.

Workshops

Every afternoon, children participating in our after school program can engage in educational workshops at our facility from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. These include:

• Literacy Workshop: Featuring a book of the month, qualified reading tutors will come to the center three times a week to work with youth.
• Art Workshop: We encourage children to think beyond the box and create. We make use of recycled materials and encourage collaboration.
• Music Workshop: At this workshop, youth collaborate creatively together, culminating in a year-end performance.
• Health Workshop: We cover a different topic every week, including nutrition, sports, and sexual education.

Mental Health Services

We have licensed social workers on site that provide services to children coping with trauma and as well as those with mental health needs.

Tutoring

There are volunteer tutors available at our facility every afternoon. These tutors encourage youth to improve their academics and help them with individual questions and assignments.
